Geofortis was contracted to carry out the design and construction of foundation piles for two additional tanks at the Pemba fuel terminal.

Based on the geotechnical report, the CFA method (continuous auger) was the most suitable option.

97 piles with a diameter of 650mm and a length of 18m were needed for the tanks and 90 piles with a diameter of 650mm and a length of 12m for the watertight walls.

The work was carried out successfully and on schedule.
